I offer Sports and Therapeutic Massage and Musculoskeletal (MSK) Rehabilitation.
These services are designed to support muscle tension, pain, injury recovery and movement-related issues, depending on your needs.
If you’d like more detail about each approach, you can view the full service breakdown on the Services page.
Sports massage focuses on easing muscular tension, reducing stiffness and supporting recovery in soft tissue.
MSK rehabilitation focuses on identifying and improving the underlying causes of pain or movement restriction through assessment, exercise-based rehabilitation and functional movement work.
Both approaches can complement each other depending on your needs, and treatment is always tailored to your goals.
MSK stands for Musculoskeletal, which refers to the muscles, bones, joints, ligaments and tendons that support movement.
MSK rehabilitation focuses on improving movement, strength and function in people experiencing pain, stiffness or injury-related issues. Treatment is based on assessment and may include exercise-based rehabilitation, movement work and hands-on therapy where appropriate.
Each plan is tailored to your needs and aims to help you move more comfortably, build strength and improve confidence in everyday activity.
Please note this service does not provide a medical diagnosis. If further medical assessment is needed, you may be advised to consult your GP or healthcare provider.
For post-surgical rehabilitation, I work alongside medical professionals as part of a multidisciplinary approach.
Not at all. Sports Massage can benefit anyone experiencing muscle tension, stiffness or discomfort.
It’s commonly used by people with active lifestyles, but also by office workers, busy parents and those dealing with physical strain from everyday activities. Treatment can help ease muscular tension, improve comfort and support general movement and mobility.
No referral is needed. You can book directly for either Sports or Therapeutic Massage or MSK Rehabilitation.
If needed, I can also advise whether MSK rehabilitation or massage is more suitable for your situation during your initial consultation.
Wear something comfortable and easy to move in, such as leggings, shorts, a vest top or loose T-shirt.
Depending on the area being treated, you may be asked to remove an outer layer so the muscles can be worked on effectively. You will always remain appropriately covered, and towels are used to ensure your comfort and modesty throughout the session.
Undergarments are kept on, and only the area being treated is uncovered.
If you’re unsure what to wear, you’re welcome to ask when booking and I’ll be happy to advise.
You may feel a little sore or achy for 24–48 hours after deep tissue work or exercise-based rehabilitation. This is completely normal and usually settles quickly.
It can help to drink plenty of water after your session to support recovery and hydration.
If anything doesn’t feel right or you have any concerns, please let me know so future sessions can be adjusted accordingly.
This depends on your condition, goals and how your body responds to treatment. Some people notice improvement after one session, while others benefit from short course of treatment.
After your initial assessment, I’ll outline a tailored plan and we’ll review your progress regularly to make sure treatment is working effectively for you.
Consistency is key — sticking to your rehab plan and doing your structured exercises at home can make a big difference.
Recovery time varies depending on the condition, how long it has been present, and individual response to treatment.
Some acute issues may improve within a few weeks, while more persistent or long-standing problems can take longer. I’ll guide you with a personalised plan at a and adjust the pace of treatment based on your progress.
